There are two web-based program that we use in class as intervention tools to help students increase their academic abilities. The reading program used for our class is Reading Plus.
Each week, I assign students to complete 4-See Readers (these are short stories with comprehension questions at the end) and 4-Read Arounds (These are vocabulary builders). The See Readers (SR) should take no more than 15 mins per lesson, and the Read Arounds (RA) should only take about 5-10 mins per lesson.
Your student's all have a login and password. If you need this info please contact me and I will send it to you. For most of them, the information is as follows:
LOGIN: Student ID#
Password: Birthday (M/DD/YYYY)
-Note if your child was born in a single digit month (i.e. April = 4) there is no leading zero.

***If the website asks for a "Site Code" our Site Code is: brownMS

For math, we work out of various intervention based programs like SRA and Excel Math to get our student closer to grade level while accommodating their needs. As a means of reinforcement, we use the online program IXL MATH for practice and skill development.
Student's have a login and ID that they are familiar with. For most student's that information is:
Login: First initial last name @dbms (i.e. Sclark@dbms)
Password: Birthday (M/DD/YYYY)
-Note for students with single digit birth years i.e. January = 1 there is no leading zero for the password. So a student born February 9, 2001 would enter 2092001

Generally, I have students work out of the 3rd or 4th grade level for now as that fits the average range of our class.
